Guitar Lesson Series
Guitar Lessons / Music Theory (All Experience Levels Welcome)
The instructor will be teaching beginner to advanced players. Each week, the first class hour we will discuss guitar basics and answer questions regarding playing guitar, understanding musical terms, gear, musical styles and more.
In the second hour we will dive into more advanced playing, understanding some basic
music theory that all musicians should know such as musical genres, how song forms
work, the major scale and more.
The instructor is able to teach from a very beginner level, through advanced guitar,
theory and
performance. The class will be tailored to fit the needs of the students, in a fun
format
that will have everyone playing songs. Students must bring a guitar.

Instructor Bio
With over thirty years’ experience as an instructor and freelance guitarist, Loren
Vinal developed a passion for the guitar and other instruments. Loren also plays (and
teaches) harmonica, drums, ukulele, banjo and bass guitar. Lessons are done in a professional and fun way. Loren
does not believe that teaching as a “one size fits all” approach is realistic. Each students’
needs are different, and I do my best to accommodate my students while staying true to a
solid musical foundation.
Loren is a full time working musician who graduated from Empire State College of New
York with a Bachelor of Arts degree in music theory studies and performance. He continues to teach private lessons in person and online, performs with his wife in
their acoustic act, and plays lead guitar for bands locally and in Georgia where he spends
the winter.
