Both the Pre-Nursing Science Primer micro-credentials align with requirements for the Nursing Associates in Applied Sciences A.A.S. program should students choose to continue their education after obtaining the micro-credential.

Pre-Nursing Science Primer 1

Upon completion of this micro-credential, students will be expected to demonstrate an understanding of basic biology and chemistry of health
sciences; develop key skills of the basics of health care including correct usage of a variety of medical devices; demonstrate an understanding of the foundations of anatomy and physiology; identify key concepts of microbiology and how it relates to healthcare.

Following the completion of the Pre-Nursing Science Primer 1 micro-credential, the Pre-Nursing Science Primer 2 micro-credential continues to expand nursing skills.
