This microcredential aligns with requirements for the Machine Tool Technology, A.A.S. degree should students choose to continue their education after obtaining the microcredential.

Microcredential

There is a need for the availability of shorter non-degree credentials in the Machining discipline. The purpose for the microcredential is to build on the skills gained with the Manufacturing Basic Microcredential and give the student a more involved background and skill set in reading and generating detailed CAD drawings used in manufacturing as well as more advanced manual machining skills.
