SUNY CCC Offers Assistance to Students Affected by Covid-19
SUNY Corning Community College is proud to offer an opportunity to support its students during this difficult time.
“COVID-19 has greatly impacted our students’ ability to earn income as well as their ability to access individual technology resources,” President William P. Mullaney said in a campus-wide email sent on Tuesday. “I am pleased to share an initiative establishing a SUNY CCC Student Emergency Grant to assist students in need so they can continue their studies at the College.”
Students with documented need are eligible to apply for the grant that is intended to assist with shelter (rent), utilities, technology for academic purposes, and/or emergency transportation to and from SUNY CCC to a student’s residence.
A full description and the application for the SUNY CCC Student Emergency Grant Program can be found here. One-time grants of up to $500 will be distributed weekly.
“I have the greatest hope that this support can help our students in need to continue to persist in their classes. To that end, I encourage all in our SUNY CCC community and beyond to consider a donation to the SUNY CCC Student Emergency Grant Program,” President Mullaney said.
Donations can be directed to the Corning Community College Development Foundation, with a “Designation” comment indicating this program.
