Dr. Jennifer O’Hara Selected for Cornell University Fellowship

Dr. Jennifer O'HaraCORNING, N.Y. -- SUNY Corning Community College’s Dr. Jennifer O’Hara, J.D., Ed.D., was one of eight faculty members from across New York State to be selected to participate in the Community College Internationalization Fellowship at Cornell University.

Dr. O’Hara was chosen for her fellowship project on international business law, focusing on the law and ethics of the country of Chile and its rapidly emerging economy. The goal of the project is to introduce an international unit to SUNY CCC’s business course offerings in the fall of 2025 to broaden students’ experience and perspective of global business concerns.

This project will allow for the introduction of a new unit of international law in the College’s introductory level Business Law I class, a course that is required for all business and accounting majors.

Dr. O’Hara currently serves as the department chair for the College’s Business Department and teaches business and accounting courses.

"I'm excited and honored to participate in the fellowship program and have access to the amazing resources the Einaudi Center and Cornell have to offer.” said Dr. O’Hara. “Now more than ever, it's important for Community Colleges to help their students obtain international perspectives. Helping students become global citizens is a priority for me and I'm thrilled to be taking this next step to internationalize another course."
