Julie Croteau has taught at CCC since 1999. She graduated from SUNY Geneseo with a B.A. in Mathematics, and while there earned her NYS certification to teach mathematics in grades 7-12. She then earned an M.A. in Mathematics at Binghamton University.

Croteau is active in co-coordinating activities within the Math Department such as Fractal Week, Mobius Strip Day, and Pi Day. These are fun events that usually involve hands-on activities outside of class and invoke great discussion and new appreciation of mathematics among students at a variety of levels.

Croteau developed the Math for Nursing sequence to assist nursing students with dosage calculations. She thoroughly enjoys seeing motivated students grow in their math skills and confidence. Croteau also developed the Probability & Statistics I course which is a Calculus-based probability course designed mainly for Engineering Science and Math majors (or the like).
