About EOP

At Corning Community College (CCC), the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) is more than just a pathway to higher education—it’s a commitment to empowering our students and elevating our community. We provide access, advocacy, and holistic support to students who demonstrate academic potential but face financial and educational barriers. Our mission is to guide students from admission to graduation, equipping them with the skills, confidence, and resources needed to thrive in college and beyond.

We believe that education is a transformative tool—one that fosters academic excellence, cultural awareness, and social responsibility. Through mentorship, personalized academic support, financial assistance, and leadership development, EOP helps students cultivate resilience, self-determination, and a vision for their future. Our goal is to ensure that every EOP student not only succeeds but becomes a catalyst for change within their families and communities.

The Office of Opportunity Programs is dedicated to providing guidance and oversight for EOP, ensuring that students have access to the tools they need to excel academically, grow personally, and become leaders in their fields. Our work is grounded in the belief that when students succeed, communities thrive.

Rooted in the legacy of educational equity and social justice, the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) was championed by Assemblyman Arthur O. Eve as part of a broader movement to ensure that higher education is accessible to all, regardless of economic background.

At Corning Community College, EOP is more than just a program—it’s a movement. We are committed to breaking barriers, fostering ambition, and shaping the next generation of leaders. Our students are held to high academic and personal standards, and in return, they gain a support network that believes in their potential, resilience, and ability to impact the world.
