Both Mansfield University (MU) and SUNY Corning Community College (CCC) agree to cooperate in the articulation of students between institutions ultimately majoring in Music. The purpose of this agreement is to facilitate the educational progress of students by eliminating dUplication of degree requirements where possible.

BA - Music
PA IN-STATE TUITION & SCHOLARSHIPS FOR NY SOUTHERN TIER RESIDENTS
New, first-year students residing in six New York Southern Tier counties (Broome, Chemung, Schuyler, Steuben, Tioga, and Tompkins) who enroll at the Mansfield location will pay Pennsylvania in-state tuition and receive eligible in-state merit scholarship awards (non-local). Bachelor of Arts - Music
A student who has earned an A.A in Music (A.A. Liberal Arts and Sciences: Social Sciences and Humanities, Music Pathway) from CCC will be guaranteed admission into the Bachelor of Arts in Music program at MU, on the condition that they:
- Graduate from CCC with a minimum GPA of 2.00;
- Enroll at MU within one year of graduation from CCC;
- Do not attend another institution of higher education between the time they graduate from CCC and enroll at MU;
- Successfully pass a music audition required by MU’s Music Department;
- Understand that either second-year language proficiency or a minor must be completed as required by all bachelor of arts degree programs at MU.
Note: During the audition process prior to the first semester at MU, students will be evaluated on their piano ability, music theory knowledge, and aural skills aptitude. Students entering Mansfield University will be placed into the appropriate MU Music Theory and Piano courses based upon their performance during this audition.
Upon receiving an AA Degree, MU accepts up to 62 credits with grades of "C-" or better towards the BA Music program.
This agreement will not be applicable for students entering MU with limited credits. Students transferring without the AS in Music will have their transcripts evaluated by the department chairperson to determine the transferability of individual courses.
