Upstate Medical University
SUNY Corning Community College and SUNY Upstate Medical University have partnered to ensure that graduates of SUNY CCC can transfer to SUNY Upstate Medical University with full junior standing into the following programs at SUNY Upstate Medical University:
- Medical Imaging Radiography, BS
- Medical Imaging Ultrasound, BS
- Medical Technology, BS
- Medical Biotechnology, BS
- Radiation Therapy, BS
- Respiratory Therapy, BS
- Online Registered Nurse (RN)-to-BS in Nursing
Students who are accepted by SUNY Upstate will be guaranteed full junior status upon transfer providing they have completed all prerequisite courses for their intended program of study. Courses with a grade of C or better are eligible for transfer credit. All science courses must include laboratories. Students who meet the pre-requisites as outlined and complete their program of study at Upstate will meet SUNY General Education Requirements. Students admitted to SUNY Upstate through this agreement will be subject to the same non-academic pre-matriculation requirements that may be in place for students admitted through other channels including, but not limited to, successful completion of a background check and health clearance.

EARLY ASSURANCE PROGRAM FOR COLLEGE FRESHMEN
The Early Assurance Program for College Freshmen is an opportunity for first-year college students interested in pursuing a bachelor’s degree at SUNY Upstate Medical University to apply and receive a decision while in their freshman year of college. Applicants can apply to one of the following bachelor’s degree programs within the College of Health Professions:
- Medical Biotechnology, BS
- Medical Imaging Sciences/Radiography (X-ray), BS
- Medical Imaging Sciences/Ultrasound, BS or BPS
- Medical Technology, BS
- Radiation Therapy, BS or BPS
- Respiratory Therapy, BS
Requirements and Recommendations for Applicants:
- A recommended minimum unweighted high school average of 90, with an unweighted high school science average of 88.
- A recommended minimum cumulative GPA of 3.30 for all colleges courses by the end of the fall semester of their freshman year of college.
