Meet the Finalists

The SUNY Corning Community College Regional Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the scheduled visits for the three finalists for the presidency of SUNY Corning Community College (CCC).

“We recruited a highly competitive pool of candidates, and the finalists were selected from a large and outstanding candidate pool,” said Regional Board of Trustees Chair Carl Blowers. “We have developed a thoughtful and highly deliberate process to select the very best candidate for SUNY Corning Community College’s seventh president. I encourage members of the community to meet the candidates and participate in the process.”

The SUNY Corning Community College presidential finalists and their schedules are as follows:

Visiting campus on January 28, 2019:
Keith McLaughlin, Ph.D., is Provost of Morton College in Cicero, IL. He previously served as Vice President of Institutional Planning and Effectiveness at Morton College. Dr. McLaughlin earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Higher Education Administration from the University of Texas at Austin; a Master of Science in Management from Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, NY; a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from SUNY Albany; and an Associate in Math/Science from SUNY Corning Community College.

Visiting campus on January 29, 2019:
Cedric Howard, Ed.D., is Vice President of Enrollment and Student Services at State University of New York at Fredonia. He previously served as Vice Chancellor of Student and Enrollment Services at The University of Washington, Tacoma. Dr. Howard earned a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Management from Capella University; a Master of Education in Educational Administration from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga; and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Georgia College and State University, in Milledgeville.

Visiting campus on January 30, 2019:
William Mullaney, Ph.D., is Vice President of Academic Affairs at Bergen Community College in Paramus, NJ. He previously served as Assistant to the Executive Vice Chancellor at the Maricopa Community Colleges District Office in Tempe, AZ. Dr. Mullaney earned a Doctor of Philosophy in English from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA; a Master of Arts in Literature from the University of California, San Diego; and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Virginia, in Charlottesville.

Each presidential finalist will participate in an open forum on the dates listed above and at the following locations and times.

All forums are open to all faculty, administrators, staff, students, and the general public. There will be a brief introduction of each candidate, followed by a question and answer session. Feedback forms will be given to all who attend, and the completed forms will be collected at the end of each forum and given to the Regional Board of Trustees for review.
