CCC presents web broadcasts of international personalities.

Hear from international leaders

Corning Community College’s National Society of Leadership and Success will host four international web broadcasts with well-known personalities this semester. Barbara Ann Corcoran, an American businesswoman, investor, speaker, consultant, syndicated columnist, author, and a "Shark" investor on ABC's Shark Tank, will kick-off the broadcast series on Feb. 7, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. The public is invited to watch and participate in the interactive presentation at Corning Community College (Commons, 1 Academic Dr., Corning, N.Y.). Admission is complimentary.

Corcoran is expected to share her rags to riches story: how she turned $1,000 loan into a $5 billion business. In her presentation, she will describe what it was like to build New York’s City’s largest real estate company, become a shark, overcomeing a variety of obstacles to do so.

Additional broadcasts this semester will feature the following personalities:

  • March 1, 2017: Curt Menefee is an American sportscaster who is the host of Fox network's NFL show, Fox NFL Sunday.
  • March 12, 2017: Anderson Cooper is an American journalist, television personality, and author. He is the primary anchor of the CNN news show Anderson Cooper 360°.
  • March 14, 2017: Hoda Kotb is an American television news anchor and TV host known as the co-host of NBC's Today Show's fourth hour with Kathie Lee Gifford. An Egyptian American, she won a Daytime Emmy Award in 2010 as part of the Today Show team.
