The Walter R. Visiting Scholar Series provides social, cultural, and leadership opportunities by bringing thought-provoking speakers to campus. Professor Walter Smith spent almost 50 years enhancing the CCC experience for students. With a generous gift from his estate, his legacy of curiosity, excellence and dedication lives through the endowed Visiting Scholar Series. Read more.


Scholarship recipient pays it forward

CCC alumni appreciate the support they received when attending college and frequently vow to do the same for others someday. David Smith '16 is the first recipient of a full-tuition scholarship endowed by Houghton family members. He graduated in May and renewed his promise to give back to the local community. Read more.
