NYS Excelsior Scholarship
The NYS Excelsior Scholarship provides free full-time college tuition to NYS residents who meet eligibility requirements. Students who wish to apply for this scholarship must complete a FAFSA and a NYS TAP Application in addition to the Excelsior Scholarship Application. Additional information is available on the Higher Education Services Corporation (HESC) website.
Q: I applied for the NYS Excelsior Scholarship. Why don't I see this as a credit on my bill?
A: Due to the specific criteria a student must meet, a lengthy review must occur for this award to be certified. If deemed eligible, your tuition will be adjusted to the rate for the 2016-2017 school year, and a credit for the award will be applied to your bill.
