The Walter R. Smith Visiting Scholar Series presents Dr. Harlan K. Ullman, distinguished author and Chairman of the Killowen Group. Dr. Ullman will give a brief presentation and host a Q&A on the topic of U.S. Government Effectiveness, International Relations, and Domestic Security. Free and open to all.

Dr. Harlan Ullman advises leaders of government and industry, including organizations that provide solutions for protection of infrastructure.  He writes weekly columns for UPI, the Huffington Post, and the Pakistani Daily Times. Dr. Ullman is a veteran of the United States Navy, serving in Vietnam and the Persian Gulf, and he has written numerous books, including A Handful of Bullets: How the Murder of Archduke Franz Ferdinand Still Menaces the Peace.
