Inspired: Professors Trek to Everest Base Camp!

Dr. Krishnan Padmanabhan and Dr. Christine E. Atkins will share stories, photos, and drone footage of their trek from the village of Lukla (9,383 ft) to Everest Base Camp (17,598 ft.) in Nepal.
Dr. Padmanabhan and Dr. Atkins met while waiting for their respective luggage at the baggage carousel at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.

Dr. Krishnan Padmanabhan is a Professor at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Dr. Padmanabhan's research aims to understand principles of neuronal function in the mammalian brain using experimental and computational methods with a focus on uncovering the biological bases of psychiatric disorders.

Dr. Christine E. Atkins is an Associate Professor in the English Department at Corning Community where she also serves as the Coordinator of the College’s Center for Diversity and Inclusion.
