Teaching

My goal in the classroom is to facilitate the process by which students acquire, integrate, and critically evaluate knowledge and to then challenge students to apply that knowledge in original and independent ways.

Dr. Skerritt conducted postdoctoral training in the Department of Public Health Sciences at the University of Rochester, focused on cardiovascular disease prevention. He also completed a US Fulbright Scholar award to the United Arab Emirates to investigate, in collaboration with colleagues at the UAE University, cardiovascular disease prevention strategies in Abu Dhabi.

Dr. Skerritt is Coordinator of Distance Education.
