Elements of Applied Math I

Primarily for students enrolled in the technology programs. Problems in science and engineering are stressed. First semester includes algebraic operations review, functions and graphs, trigonometric functions and graphs, vectors and oblique triangles. (3 cr. hrs.) (Fall, Spring).
Prerequisite: High school algebra and geometry or MATH 1015. Cannot receive credit for this course if previously received credit for MATH 1210-1220 or MATH 1215-1225. A graphing calculator is required; Texas Instruments TI-83 or TI-84 recommended. Meets SUNY General Education requirement in Mathematics.
