Aaron Hoose-Saukas graduated from Corning Community College in 2019. Inspired by his professors and their dedication to teaching, he pursued higher education with the goal of passing that same inspiration on to future generations of students. During his time at CCC, Aaron was actively involved in campus arts, performing as a percussionist with the instrumental ensemble and briefly joining the choir in 2018 for the College’s 60th Anniversary concert, Beyond Any One Life. He has since returned to Corning Community College as a visiting writing instructor.

Beyond the classroom, Aaron has contributed to a number of community-centered and historically focused initiatives. He has helped prepare community events organized by Heroes Comic Shop in Elmira Heights, participated in programming co-sponsored by the Center for Mark Twain Studies while a student at Elmira College, and contributed to local history preservation projects through the Chemung County Historical Society. His commitment to service also includes his 2015 Eagle Scout project, remodeling the dugouts at the Corning Cinderella Softball Fields.

Outside of academia, Aaron is a multi-instrumentalist musician who tours throughout the region. He regularly volunteers his musical talents in support of benefits, community events, and nonprofit organizations, reflecting his ongoing dedication to service, creativity, and community engagement.
