Nancy Riesbeck has dedicated nearly four decades of service to Corning Community College, building a career defined by commitment, adaptability, and deep pride in the institution. She began her journey at CCC in 1979 as a clerk in the Registrar’s Office, later leaving briefly on a few occasions to pursue higher-level positions before returning to CCC permanently in 1987. In 2026, she celebrates 39 years of service to the College.

Over the years, Nancy has held a variety of key roles across the institution. She spent 20 years in the Business Administration Division as Department Secretary and later joined the Office of Workforce Education at Airport Corporate Park as Secretary and Facilities Manager, a position she held for 10 years after being recruited by Jeanne Eschbach. When the need arose, she continued this work at the Academic & Workforce Development Center in Elmira, supporting CCC’s expanding workforce initiatives.

Nancy is the recipient of the RAVE Award (Recognizing a Valuable Employee) and the inaugural SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Classified Service. While working full time, she completed her Associate degree at CCC, graduating cum laude with the Class of 2015—a milestone achieved after 35 years of perseverance. She also earned certification as a Certified Administrative Professional and a specialty certification in Office Management through the International Association of Administrative Professions.

Beyond her professional responsibilities, Nancy has been deeply engaged in campus life, volunteering for student activities whenever possible and even serving as assistant coach of the CCC Women’s Volleyball Team. Outside of her work at CCC, she is an accomplished professional musician, having performed for more than 30 years with various ensembles at venues throughout the region and in New York City.
