Alfred State
SUNY Corning Community College (CCC) and SUNY Alfred State College of Technology (ASC) have established the following articulation agreements.
- AAS: Veterinary Technology
- BBA: Business Administration
- BS: Human Services Management
- BS: Mechanical Engineering Technology
- BS: Nursing
Associate of Applied Science: Veterinary Technology
The purpose of this agreement is to afford students the opportunity to earn credits toward the Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Veterinary Technology from ASC.
The chart below lists CCC courses that may be taken that will count toward the requirements of the Veterinary Technology A.A.S. degree program at ASC. Graduation from ASC requires a minimum of three of the ten SUNY General Education knowledge areas. Students can take any combination of ASC courses and CCC equivalent courses from the chart below to meet their degree requirements.
Grades of ”C” or better in corresponding individual courses at CCC are transferable to ASC and count toward graduation requirements. A list of specific graduation requirements and additional information are provided below:

- An ASC overall cumulative index of at least 2.0 is required in order to graduate.
- At least thirty credit hours of coursework for this degree must be taken through ASC.
- Students transferring from CCC may only enter ASC’s Veterinary Technology program in the fall semester.
- A 240-hour preceptorship work experience is required after fall semester courses are completed at ASC. This requirement can be fulfilled through employment during winter and/or spring break at an appropriate facility.
- All VETS courses taken at ASC require a minimum C grade to continue in the program.

Bachelor of Business Administration: Business Administration
CCC students who have graduated from the A.S. Business Administration program, and have achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of a 2.0, are guaranteed admission into the B.B.A. Business Administration degree program at ASC with full junior status. Students who do not meet all the above criteria will be evaluated for acceptance on a case-by-case basis. Additional transfer credit options may be available and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Students who are currently on track to complete CCC's A.S. Business Administration program and have completed the Principles of Management (MGMT 2041) course will be eligible to begin taking B.B.A. Business Administration online courses at ASC.
Bachelor of Science: Human Services Management
Students who have graduated from Corning Community College with the A.S. degree in Human Services and have achieved a minimum 2.00 cumulative grade point average for all courses taken are guaranteed acceptance into the B.S. degree program in Human Services Management at Alfred State College.
Grades must be “C” or better for the credits to transfer. Corning Community College students transferring into the Human Services Management program at Alfred State College may be required to take additional lower division courses if electives are not chosen according to the agreement and are required for graduation from the B.S. program.
Bachelor of Science: Mechanical Engineering Technology
CCC students who have graduated with an A.A.S. degree in Mechanical Technology: CAD Design, have fulfilled at least five of the ten SUNY General Education categories, have achieved a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0, and have access to a computer (laptop or otherwise) that meets ASC's baseline requirements are guaranteed the opportunity to apply for admission into the B.S. Mechanical Engineering Technology degree program at ASC with full junior status. Students who do not meet all of the above criteria will be evaluated for acceptance on a case by case basis.
Grades must be “C” or better for the credits to transfer. Students should be prepared to enter the B.S. Mechanical Engineering Technology program at ASC with a foundation in Calculus, if possible.
Students who earn an A.A.S. Mechanical Technology: CAD Design degree from CCC will automatically receive 52 transfer credit hours from ASC toward the requirements for the B.S. Mechanical Engineering Technology degree.
Bachelor of Science: Nursing
Admission to the B.S. Nursing program at ASC requires graduation from the A.A.S. Nursing degree program at CCC and plans to secure licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the end of the first semester after matriculating at ASC. The minimum CCC cumulative GPA requirement for admission is 2.00. Applicant's coursework will include at least 33 credits in nursing, and 30 credits in liberal arts and sciences.
Students who meet the requirements stated above are guaranteed admission into the B.S. Nursing program at ASC with full junior status. Students who do not meet all of the above criteria will be evaluated for acceptance on a case-by-case basis. Additional transfer credit options may be available and also will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Students who are currently on track to complete CCC's A.A.S. Nursing program and have completed the first year will be eligible to begin taking B.S. Nursing courses.
