Corning Community College employs a staff of three Peace Officers certified through New York State Department of Criminal Justice Services.  Community College Peace Officers are authorized by law to make arrests and conduct criminal investigations into crimes that occur at the college. In addition, there are three full-time and multiple part-time Public Safety Officers that are NYS licensed security guards and trained yearly in CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid.

The Corning Community College Annual Security Report is organized to meet the compliance requirements of the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics Act and the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008.  It has been prepared in cooperation with local law enforcement and campus security authorities.  The full text of this report is posted at http://www.corning-cc.edu/annualsecurityreport.pdf

Our main office is located in M-204 of the Commons building on the Spencer Hill campus and is open:

  • Monday through Friday 7 AM to 7 PM while classes are in session
  • Monday through Friday 8 AM to 4 PM break weeks and summers

Our Elmira office is located in the main lobby of the Academic and Workforce center and is staffed:

  • Monday through Thursday from 7 AM to 10 PM and Fridays 8 AM to 5 PM while classes are in session.
  • Monday through Friday 8 AM to 4 PM break weeks and summers

*Officers are on duty 24 hours a day 7 days a week to respond to emergency calls.  If you need immediate assistance after normal business hours you should call (607) 962-9000.
