Student Association, Clubs and Organizations

Student Association (SA) is the student governing body at CCC. SA oversees and provides funding for a variety of clubs and organizations to meet the interests of the general student body.

The Student Association Government Assembly (SAGA) is comprised of the SA Executive Board, Student Senate and House of Representatives.

  • Student Association Executive Board - supports all campus-wide activities sponsored by the Student Activities Fund.
  • Student Senate - serves as the voice of the general student body to the SA Executive Board.
  • House of Representatives - serves as liaisons to clubs and organizations on behalf of SA.

Clubs and organizations reflect the interests of our diverse student population by offering a wide variety of opportunities. The following is a list of recently active clubs and organizations:

  • The Crier, student newspaper

Student Association also funds the Student Leadership Program This free program recognizes members of clubs and/or organizations as student leaders. Club and organization Executive Board Officers (President, Vice-President, Treasurer, SA Representative and Treasurer) are automatic members of the Student Leadership Program. Ongoing Student Leadership training programs give student leaders an opportunity to learn about skills such as:

  • Leadership styles
  • Conflict Resolution
  • Communication
  • Networking
  • Decision-making
  • Time Management

A one-day conference, usually held at a regional four-year residential college, is an added training opportunity for student leaders.
