Mission:

To transition new students to CCC by preparing them for educational opportunities by assessing for course placement, advising to increase student retention and success, and registering for appropriate courses to meet their educational goals, along with initiating them into the intellectual, cultural and social climate of the College.

Prior to SOA2R:

At SOA2R you will be able to:

  • Meet with an academic advisor and register for classes

  • Take your placement test (if required)

  • Discover campus resources and student life opportunities

  • Develop skills to succeed at CCC

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. When is my SOA2R date? After you are accepted to CCC your SOAR date can be found at the bottom of your acceptance letter.
  2. What if I can’t attend my assigned SOA2R date? If you have a schedule conflict, contact the Office of Admissions at 607 962-9151.
  3. Why should I attend SOA2R? Meet new students, learn about CCC, talk with an Academic Advisor, and register for classes.
  4. What if the information in my acceptance letter needs to be adjusted? Contact the Office of Admissions at 607 962-9151 to change your academic major or to discuss evaluation of college transcripts for transfer credit that may impact your testing needs.
